Diana Zrnic
I am interested in exploring my ideas through a combination of traditional and non-traditional mediums which expand my art practice, seeking interactions between painting, photography, digital drawing, and video. Therefore, I am creating interdisciplinary art projects which deepen the investigation of the human. In my understanding of a painting as an object, I stress the significance of form, formulation and transformation that moves from the psychic intimacy. I am looking for ways to merge idea and form; to express an idea with the form itself. My main concern is how big subjects, such as trauma, allow objects to be. I tend to explore the complex ways of knowing and not knowing that is entangled in the language of trauma and the stories associated with it and express my specific way of representing that emerges from my experience of the crisis.
